My soldier entered the US Navy at the age of 19 and was honored to have had the opportunity to serve his country. While on board the USS Iowa, he was a barber and also served in the “ice cream shop” and laundry. After his honorable discharge in 1953, he enrolled in Bible college and later served as a pastor in the states of Tennessee, New Mexico and Mississippi.
His love for service to others continued until he lost a battle with brain cancer. Up until he could no longer talk, all he wanted to do was to witness to others about his love for Christ. He was a true soldier in every aspect.
